"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Ground beef - 2 lbs
Ricotta cheese - 32 oz
Parmesan cheese - 1 cup
Mozzarella cheese - 2 cups
Italian seasoning - 2 tbsp
Garlic salt - 2 tsp (optional)
Lasagna noodles - 1 box
Spaghetti sauce - 1 jar (your favorite)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the ground beef and season to taste. While it is browning, mix the Ricotta, Parmesan and 1 /12 cups of the Mozzarella together in a bowl. Season with the Italian seasoning. Sometimes I add additional seasonings like the Garlic Salt. Sometimes I don't. You may season to taste.

The Noodles go in uncooked. This makes it quick and easy!

Now we will assemble the lasagna. Coat the bottom of the Crock Pot with a thin layer of sauce. Break 1/4 of the noodles into pieces that fit nicely on the bottom. Add 1/3 of the Ground Beef, 1/3 of the cheese and another layer of noodles. As you layer the noodles cover them with a ladle full of sauce. Repeat twice more. Noodles. Sauce, Beef, Cheese. Place a final layer of Noodles on top and cover with sauce. About 1 hour before it's done, sprinkle the remaining Mozzarella on top. Turn the Crock Pot on low and cook until done, usually 4-6 hours.

Personal Notes:
This is for a large, 5-6 qt. crock pot. Adjust as necessary for a smaller size.

You can't use Cottage Cheese in this recipe because it will melt and disappear. Don't try to cut nice pieces of this lasagna. Instead use a large serving spoon. Try to get all the layers into each scoop.
