2 lb. Tofu (firm)
1/8 tsp. Salt
2-3 tst. Cooking Oil

Sauce:

4 Tblsp. Soysauce
2 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Sesame oil
1 tsp. Sesame seed, toasted/ground
1/8 tsp. Pepper
1 clove Garlic, finely crushed
2 med. Green onions, chopped or sliced (diaganolly)
1 Tblsp. Water

1. Slice the Tofu into 1/2 inch thick slices
2. Sprinkle with salt and let it stand for 2-3 minutes
3. Prepare sauce
4. Pat the Tofu dry with a paper towel
5. Lightly oil large pan over medium-high heat
6. Fry the tofu until golden brown on both sides

CAUTION: The water form the tofu will react with the hot oil and will splatter. Be ready to pull had away from pan quickly or use a oil splash guard.

7. Dip the fried Tofu in the sauce, then layer the tofu in the sauce pan
8. Pour remaining sauce over the layered Tofu
9. Simmer over medium to low heat until the Tofu absorbs most of the sauce, about 4-5 minutes
9. Serve as a side dish with rice or other foods

This recipe was taken from a cook book by Moon Ja Yoon - no relations...well, none that I know of. This dish is REALLY yummy. I hope some of you will give it a chance.
