3 lbs Beef roast, economy cut
10 oz can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 envelope dry onion soup
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup water
1/2 cup apple juice
1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 cup water (if needed - check roast after 2 hours)

Directions:
Directions:
Put roast in roasting pan. For fat free gravy trim fat.
Combine all ingredients and pour over roast. Cover. Bake at 325º F until tender, about 3 /12 to 4 hours.

Serves 6 if bone content small. Prep time: 10 min
