1/2 c butter
1 c brown sugar
2 T vegetable oil
1/3 c molasses
1 egg
2 c flour
2 t baking soda
1 1/4 t ginger
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t cloves
White sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and sugar together in medium bowl until smooth. Add oil and mix well. Add molasses and egg and blend until smooth. Add dry ingredients until well combined, NOT WHITE SUGAR. Cover dough and chill until firm or overnight.

Heat oven to 375ºF. Roll a tablespoon of dough into a ball. In small bowl put the white sugar, roll each dough ball into sugar until coated. Place balls 2" apart on cookie sheet.

Bake until the center of cookie is barely dry, about 9-10 minutes. DO NOT over bake. let cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes, then place on cooling rack.
