1 pound of yellow split peas, pork cook spanish ham cut and small dice ,1 tbsp sofrito goya or any other one you like .I- package of sazon wich ever brand you like , 3 garlic heads mince, cilantro for flavor in the end I like to ad a little taste of vinegar, a drizzle of olive oil ,

First in a soup pot ad a quart of water place that in the stove in low heat , then rinse and ad split peas let that cook to a boil or until slightly tender ,, Surtee the other ingredients in a skillet and make sure to make a quick taste when you ad every ingredient so you wound over sezon even I make mistakes, , once the split peas are tender ad the Surtee ingredient and mixe together let that cook for another 3 to 4 minutes ,, leaves cilantro for las for flavor if you don't like cilantro replace with parsley,
