1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. rolled oats
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugars until smooth. Stir in peanut butter, vanilla, and egg until well blended. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the batter just until moistened. Add oats and chocolate chips until blended. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges start to brown. Cool on a cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.

This is a new family favorite. We like to use mini chocolate chips. We can't decide what we like better -- the chocolate or the peanut butter.
