1 c. thick sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nut meg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Icing:
1 unbeated egg white
7/8 c. sugar
3 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cake:
Sift flour. Then measure and sift with baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices. Fold sugar into stiffly whipped cream; fold in well beaten eggs and rest of dry ingredients. Beat until well mixed. Pour in oiled loaf pan and bake 30-35 minutes at 375º.

Icing:
Put all ingredients in double boiler and boil water. Beat 7 minutes or until thick. Beat and Spread over cooled caked.
