4 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. boiling water
1 ˝ cups Powdered sugar
˝ Tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients together til smooth. Store in Freezer or refrigerator.

This is a hand written recipe I found from Mom and she labeled it as “Mother’s Hard Sauce” but I am sure it is the one Hank used too. Mom used to put it in an ice tray and kept in freezer.
