Simple syrup (see below)
Labrot & Graham Woodford Reserve Bourbon
Mint leaves
crushed ice

Directions:
Directions:
Boil equal parts of sugar and water to dissolve the sugar. Chill.

Wash and dry mint leaves. Chop and bruise lightly.

Crush ice, as it makes for the proper frost on your silver julep cup.

Add one part bruised mint leaves to one part of simple syrup. All to sit for two hours. Fill half the julep cup with crushed ice. Pour three parts of the mint syrup over the crushed ice. Add one part bourbon. Garnish with fresh sprig of mint.
