4 (1-oz) squares bitter baking chocolate, chopped
1/2 lb butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, well beaten
1 cup flour
1 tsp vanilla
confectioner's sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler. Add other ingredients except confectioners sugar.

Mix by hand, not electric mixer. Spread in ungreased 8X11 pan. Bake for 45-minutes - no longer. They will seem undone and soft, but that is as it should be. Cut into squares while hot and roll each square in confectioners' sugar.
