2 pkg yeast
1/2 c warm water
1 t sugar
1 c scalded milk
1/2 c butter
1 egg, beaten
1/2 t salt
3/4 t cardamom
5 c flour, approximately
1/2 c each citron, cherried candied, and white raisins
1/2 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water and 1 t sugar. Scald milk and add butter. Add egg and yeast. Add Salt and cardamom. Beat in 2 cups flour and mix well. Mix fruit in the remaining flour and add to rest. Knead on floured board until smooth. Cover and let rise until doubled. Divide into 2 parts. Make a round wreath or regular loaves. Bake at 350º for 30-40 min. Brush with soft butter or frost.
