1/2 brown sugar
dash of garlic powder
dash of salt and pepper

Directions:
Cut bacon slices in half. Wrap each half slice around a bunch of green beans (about 10). Secure with a toothpick. Place in dish.
In saucepan, over low heat, make a glaze of butter, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Pour over green bean bundles. Bake at 350º in a covered dish for 45 to 50 minutes. Uncover for the last few minutes to allow bacon to brown.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe has evolved at my mom's house, from "green bean bundles" to just simply "sweet green beans". All the same ingredients, only we use cut green beans. All ingredients into a pot, and cooked over medium heat until the liquid reduces. The green beans get a little dark and wrinkly when they're done. We have these almost every Sunday.
