1/2 cup softened butter
3 oz softened cream cheese
1 cup flour

FILLING:
1 cup grated Swiss cheese
1 large egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/4 tsp salt
paprika

Directions:

Cream butter and cream cheese. Work in flour, roll into a ball and chill.
When ready to bake, divide the dough into 24 tiny balls and press each into a lightly greased miniature muffin tin. These form small pastry shells.

FILLING:
Divide cheese evenly among the shells.Beat egg, milk and salt together and drizzle over the cheese. Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake at 350º about 30 minutes.

These freeze well up to one week - allow to come to room temperature and reheat at 325º.

These are also wonderful if you add a couple pieces of cooked and crumbled bacon or ham on top of the cheese before you add the filling mix.
