3/4 cup softened Crisco
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 cups Quick Quaker oats

Directions:
Directions:
Cream crisco, sugars, egg, water, and vanilla thoroughly. Sift together flour, salt and soda and add to crisco mixture. Blend in oats.

Drop by tsp. onto greased cookie sheets.

Bake at 350º til done.

Variations can be made by adding raisins, chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or coconut.
