1/2 to one pound beef
4-5 liters of water
3-4 medium size potatoes
1-2 medium size beetroots
1 small onion
2-3 medium carrots
1 pound of cabbage
1 medium bell pepper (green pepper)
1-2 medium tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 Tbs of lemon juice
1/2 can of pinto beans - cooked or canned
1 clove garlic
pepper, salt, bay leaf, olive oil, and sugar
some parsley

Directions:
Directions:
1. Bring a large pot with the water to a boil.
2. Add beef that has been cut up into 1-2 inch pieces
3. Add salt to taste and half of the onion and the bay leaf
4. Boil beef for 1 hour then remover the onion from the beef broth.
5. While cooking beef prepare vegetables and cook beans
6. Cut peeled potatoes, beetroots, cabbage into strips. Slice carrots into thin rounds
7. In skillet simmer finely chopped remaining onion with olive oil. Add salt to taste and cook onion until golden
8. Add beetroot and simmer 15 more minutes
9. Add chopped tomatoes, bell pepper, and tomato sauce. Simmer 10 minutes
10. Sprinkle with 2 Tbs of lemon juice and add 1-2 Tbs of sugar
11. When the beef has finished add potatoes and cabbage into broth. Boil 15 minutes on low heat.
12. Add beans and vegetables from the skillet into the pot and boil another 20 minutes.
13. Add the finely chopped garlic, parsley, and bay leaf and turn the heat off.
14. Let rest on the stove for 15 minutes before serving.
15. You can add sour cream to your bowl if you would like. Enjoy!
