2 cups flour, 1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup oleo, 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1 egg, 1 cup sour milk or buttermilk
2 T molasses, 1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt

Whipping Cream, whipped.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, brown sugar, oleo, cinnamon, and ginger as for pie dough (with a
pastry blender) until fine. Take out l/2 of mixture and set aside to sprinkle over
top of bread.
Add to flour mixture, egg, baking soda, molasses, milk and salt.
Blend thoroughly. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top and press down.
Pour into 9 x 13 in greased baking dish.
Bake at 350º for 30 minutes and inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Serve with ReddiWhip or whipping cream.
