1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. sugar
2 c. quick-cooking oats
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Add oats and shortening and mix well. Add milk gradually. Press firmly into greased baking sheet. Using sharp knife, cut into squares.

Bake for 12-15 minutes of until lightly browned. Remove from oven and immediately re-cut lines with sharp knife. Remove to wire rack to cool.
