4 large Granny Smith apples (4 cups)
1 unbaked 10" pie shell
1 cup sugar
3 T flour
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 egg
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp. vanilla

STREUSEL:
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 T. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix topping ingredients, except nuts, until crumbly; add nuts; set aside. Peel and core apples, thinly slice and put into pie shell. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon; beat egg in a small bowl; add vanilla and cream. Add sugar mixture to egg mixture; pour over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle streusel mixture on top; return to oven for 40 more minutes.
