1 c. fresh raspberries
3 T. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. sour cream
3 T. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sliced almonds

Icing:
1/4 c powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Combine raspberries and brown sugar. Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

In a small bowl, whisk the egg, sour cream, butter and vanilla. Stir into dry mixture just until moistened.

Spool half the batter into a greased and floured 8-inch round cake pan. Top with raspberry mixture. Spoon the remaining batter over raspberries. Sprinkle with almonds.

Bake for 25-30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing to wire rack.

Combine icing ingredients and drizzle over coffee cake. Serve warm.
