"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:

1 box angel food cake mix( I use Betty Crocker)
1 can lemon pie filling - 21 oz can of Comstock pie filling.

Directions:
Oh yeah you read that right. Two simple ingredients to make these melt
in your mouth ( middle of the pie) lemon squares! This is like you cut
yourself a slice right out of the middle of the pie!

Mix dry cake mix and can of pie filling together in large bowl.
Just mixed it by hand...
Pour into greased 9 x 13 in. baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until top is starting to brown.
NOTE...Mine took the full 30 minutes to get done and did not brown on top
at all.
Cool on wire rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar. It has a melt in your
mouth spongy texture.
