4 chops -- 1 1/2 in. thick
1 onion sliced (round)
2 potatoes sliced (round)
1 carrot diced
1 c. green peas
1 can whole tomatoes
some flour
salt and pepper
some oil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt & pepper together, then dredge the chops in seasoned flour. Lightly brown onion in hot oil then remove the onion. Brown floured chops in hot oil then vegetables. Put onion on top of chops, then potatoes, dig out tomatoes, then put on top of potatoes, then put carrots and peas into tomatoes, add salt & pepper, cover and cook for 1 1/2 hrs on simmer.

Mother told me that she got this recipe out of a book she was reading
about Abraham Lincoln. The book said this was his favorite meal.
