1 Cup Vegetable Oil, 1 tsp salt
2 Cups sugar, 2 cups flour
3 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups diced cooking apples
1-1/4 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 T flour
Carmel Topping
1/2 cup butter
l/4 cup whole milk
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
Combine butter, milk, brown sugar. Bring to boil, and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat, cool, and beat. Spread on cool cake.

Grease and flour 9 x 13 x 2 in pan, set aside.
Beat in a large mixing bowl, oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla(3 min)
Stir together 2 cups flour, salt and baking soda. Add dry ingredients, beating
well after each addition. Stir in apples.Combine nuts and 1 T flour, stir into
batter. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until
done. Cool in pan
