12 dasheen leaves, chopped
2 teaspoons salt
1 hot red congo pepper (do not cut)
8 whole ochroes
1 head garlic
6 cups water
1/2 can coconut milk
1 teaspoon black pepper
5 cloves
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon fresh parsley
1 tablespoon rum (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, add all ingredients and cover on medium heat for 30 minutes. Add water as necessary, stirring constantly.
Add whole hot pepper.
Use a dahl gutney or a whisk and mix while cooking.
Also, add enough water as needed to make soup as thick as needed.
