1 cup Shortening
3 1/2 cups Flour
2 cups Brown Sugar
2 T. Baking Powder
2 Eggs
1 T. Soda
2 T. Water
1 T. Salt
2 T. Vanilla (I also add butter flavoring)
1 T. Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, water, and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and mix well. Spoon in mounds on cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350º. These are our favorites.

Melinda Dean Horner was born on October 22, 1953 and passed away on November 6, 2007. She was married to David Lynn Horner and was always a very loving wife and mother to her family.

David Horner is the son of Oma Dean McDonald Horner and Richard Ralph Horner.
