1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 and 1/3 cups plain flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon each cinnamon and nutmeg
1 cup oatmeal
1 and 1/4 cups boiling water
1/2 cup Crisco
ICING:
1 stick melted margarine or butter
1 cup each coconut and brown sugar
1 cup nuts
Add enough milk to spread (less than 1/4 cup)

Cream sugar and Crisco, add eggs one at a time. Put oatmeal in boiling water and let set. Then add to above ingredients. Add flour and spices. Bake in sheet pan at 350 degrees. Let cake bake for 20 minutes and take out. Spread topping and cook for 20 minutes or until done.
