1/4 cup butter, divided
2 large onions, sliced
4 to 6 pork chops, about 1-inch thick
2 Tbsp brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tbsp flour
1 cup ginger ale
Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Melt half the butter in a skillet over medium heat; add onions and saute until lightly browned. Remove onions to a 2-quart baking dish.

In the same skillet, brown the pork chops in remaining butter. Place chops over onions in the baking dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar.

Blend ketchup with flour to form a paste; add ginger ale and stir well. Pour ginger ale mixture over the pork chops; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake until chops are tender, about 1 hour.
