2 cups of milk
3 beaten egg yolks
3/4 or 1 cup of sugar
3 T corn starch
pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 T butter or oleo
1 baked 9 inch pie crust
1 cup coconut, stirred into pudding or
1 or 2 bananas stirred into pudding

Directions:
Directions:
Put unbaked pie crust into pie plate. Prick pie crust with a fork all over crust
Bake at 350 10 to 15 minutes, until light golden brown.
Beat eggs in a medium sized bowl, set aside.
In large cooking sauce pan, add sugar, corn starch, pinch of salt, mix.
Slowly add milk, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly
until mixture boils, Boil one minute.
Stir part of hot mixture into beaten eggs, stirring constantly.
Transfer that mixture back to remaining pudding in saucepan. Stir together until thoroughly blended.
Return to heat, cook until it boils, and cook 2 minutes. Add butter, stir til
melted. Remove from heat, add vanilla and mix.
Put into baked pie shell. Cover with Meringue*, to edges and sealing the
edges.
Bake at 350º 10 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned
