1/2 can Tahini (can be purchased at specialty food stores and some grocery stores)
juice of 2 lemons, or to taste
1/4-1/2 c. pure virgin olive oil
2 tsp. garlic powder
8oz. can chick peas (garbanzo peas)
1/4 c. red wine
salt and pepper, optional

Directions:
Drain and rinse chick peas. In a blender, puree peas to a smooth texture. Add wine to peas while pureeing. Place peas into medium size bowl. Gradually mix garlic powder, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper and Tahini with the pureed peas. Voila! Serve with warm pocket pita bread or a bread of your choice.

Dip is ready to eat, but the taste is better after it sets for a while, preferably overnight. The measurements are meant as a guideline...season to suit your personal taste.
