Ingredients:  
1 cup shortening( oleo, butter, or any combination)
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1-1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 t soda
1 t salt
1/2 to 1 t cinnamon
3 to 3-1/2 cups quick cooking oatmeal
1 t vanilla
1/2 pkg of heath butter brickle chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla
Add eggs, mix, add dry ingredients, mixing well.
Add oatmeal and heath chips.
Shape into logs, and wrap in plastic wrap
Refrigerate overnight. At this point, I put in plastic bags and freeze.
If using immediately, cut into slices.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet.
375º for 10 - 12 minutes
