1 box devil's food cake mix, with ingredients as listed on box plus chocolate chips

Filling:
1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar

Cake:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease and flour 9 x 13-in. pan. Prepare cake mix as directed. Put 1/2 cake mix in pan; sprinkle with chocolate chips. Cover with remaining cake mix.

Filling:
Beat cream cheese until creamy. Add eggs and sugar; beat well. Place spoonfuls of mixture on unbaked cake. Swirl through cake. Bake about 40 minutes or until done. Toothpick will come out clean.
