6 to 7 c all purpose flour
2 tsp salt
2 1/4 c scalded milk (cooled)
1/2 c lukewarm water
2 pkg yeast
1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c cooking oil
7 links of German sausage (boiled & cooled)

Directions:
In small bowl add warm water, sugar & yeast and stir until well dissolved and set aside. In another small bowl whip together eggs and cooking oil and set aside. In large bowl sift flour and salt together. Make a well in flour and add all wet ingredients and mix well. Place dough in mixer with dough hook and knead until blisters form. Pour dough into large bowl and cover with moist towel. Place in Luke warm oven and allow to rise until doubled. Punch down dough and allow to rise a second time.
Cut sausage in half lengthwise and cut halves into approx 5 in pieces.
Sprinkle flour over risen dough. Cut small wads of dough and place on floured board. Press dough flat with finger tips and place a piece of sausage in center. Fold dough around sausage and pat closed. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 12 - 15 min. After removing from oven brush dough with melted butter and lightly sprinkle with salt.
