4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together 4 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar. Cream together 1 cup sugar, 1 cup confectioners' sugar, 1 cup oil, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 2 eggs and 1 cup butter. Refrigerate for several hours. Roll into balls; roll balls in colored sugar or plain sugar. Place on cookie sheet.You may press a pecan on top, if desired. Bake at 325º for 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.
