2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
4 cups raw, finely chopped apples
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup soft butter
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325ºF. Grease 9x13-inch pan. In large bowl, sift flour, sugar, baking soda, spices, baking powder and salt. Add apples, nuts, butter and eggs. Beat until just combined (it will be thick). Pour into pan. Bake for one hour or until it springs back when lightly touched. Serve warm in squares.
