1 c corn meal
1 c flour
1/3 c sugar
3 t baking powder
1 t salt
1/4 c vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 c milk
vegetable oil for deep frying (about 1 gallon)
2 packages beef franks
wooden skewers

Directions:
Directions:
Soak skewers in water for about 10 minutes. Skewer franks. Mix corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add eggs to milk and beat well. Add to dry ingredients. Mix well. Add 1/4 c vegetable oil and mix well. Dip franks into batter, coating well. Use a slow twirling method. Hold by the end of the skewer and submerge corn dog into hot oil. Hold in oil for about 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve with mustard and/or ketchup.
