6 pork chops 1/2 inch thick
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt or to taste
1/2 cup dry vermouth or dry white wine
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, salt, thyme and pepper. Cut as much fat from pork chops as possible. Dust pork chops with flour mixture. Preheat frying pan to 340º. Heat butter and oil in hot frying pan. Add pork chops and cook until golden brown on both sides. Drain off all fat from skillet. Add vermouth. Reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook 30 minutes or until pork chops are tender. Add more wine during cooking time if necessary.
