3 cups sugar
1 1/2 water
1 cup white corn syrup
2 tbsp baking soda
1/2 stick oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups raw peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, water and syrup until it spins a thread. Add peanuts and stir constantly until syrup turns a golden brown. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Stir until butter melts. Pour onto two baking sheets with sides, and as mixture begins to harden around edges pull until thin. When cool break apart and enjoy.

The baking soda gives this a light crunch, much better than the old fashioned type. This is one of Grandma Ross's favorites.
