Dutch oven size: 10”

1 cups warm water
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp active dry yeast
1/6 cup oil
¾ tsp salt
1 egg (or egg powder/ crystals)
1/3 cup skim milk powder
2 ½- 3 cups flour
¼ cup butter
½ Tbsp cinnamon
¾ cup brown sugar

Combine water, sugar and yeast and set aside for 5 min. Add oil, salt and egg. Combine dry milk with 1 cups of flour and add to yeast mixture. Beat until smooth. Add remaining flour a bit at a time and mix until smooth. (so it is workable and not too sticky) Knead dough until elastic, and then place in greased dutch oven and turn to coat. Cover and let rise until triple in size. (in a warm place near fire).

Form into 8 balls and dip in melted butter. In a small bowl combine cinnamon and sugar. Roll balls in cinnamon mixture and place in warm and greased dutch oven. Pour over any leftover butter and sugar mixture. Bake 15-20 min at 350 deg. (if using coals put 5 on bottom and 7 on top) Best enjoyed warm!
