Ingredients:
Tired of store bought granola bars? Once you try these you won’t want to go back!

3 cups old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup crushed and packed bran flakes (could use corn flakes)
¼ cup whole chopped almonds
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup sesame seeds
½ cup pumpkin seeds
¼ cup flax
¼ cup sunflower seeds (or any other nuts)
¼ cup oil (I used Safflower or grapeseed oil)

Combine these ingredients and spread on a baking sheet, bake for 20 min at 200 deg F, mixing occasionally until golden brown.

Then melt (just before previous mixture is done baking):
¼ cup butter
1 cup honey
Bring this mixture to a rolling boil. If you do it too long the bars will become hard and not chewy.
Then add:
½ cup almond butter (can also use peanut butter)
½ cup dried cranberries (or raisins, other dried fruit….)

Directions:
Once done baking granola mixture, add sauce and mix well and spread onto a pan. Cut into bars when cooled.
