1 lb Italian sausage, loose without casing
2 large potatoes, cut into 1/4 in slices
1 large onion, chopped
1/4 c. bacon, crumbed
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 c. kale, chopped
2 cans (8 oz each) chicken broth
1 qt. water
1 c. cream

Directions:
Directions:
In a stock pot, brown the sausage while tossing it to break it into small pieces. Take the sausage out and set aside.

Add the chicken broth and water to the pot. Place the potatoes, onions and garlic in the pot and cook on medium heat until the potatoes are tender.

Add the sausage and bacon to the soup and simmer for 10 minutes.

Reduce heat to low and add kale and cream. Heat through but do not boil. Serve immediately with warm bread.
