1 1/4 c flour
3 t Baking Powder
1/2 t salt
2 1/2 c Bran Flakes
1 1/4 c milk
1 egg
1/2 c sugar
1/3 c shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Mix Bran flakes and milk together and let stand 1-2 minutes or until cereal is moistened or softened. Add egg and shortening. Beat well.
Add dry ingredients to cereal mixture stirring only until combined. Portion batter evenly into 12 greased 2 1/2" muffin cups.
Bake 400 degrees about 25 minutes.
