1/2 c whipping cream
1 c sugar
6 egg yolks
1 envelope knox gelatin
1/4 c sliced almonds
1 t vanilla
coconut (toasted)

Directions:

heat in double bowler to boiling point.
Cream and sugar until dissolved
take off flame
beat egg yolks thoroughly
add dash of salt
pour hot cream into double boiler
stir until mixture thickens
if it should become lumpy, put through sieve.

dissolve gelatin in 1/4 c cold water
blend and pour into a dish which you can place in the refrigerator
leave until it congeals
be sue this mixture is cool before adding to the whipping cream.
heat whipping cream until stiff and add to first mixture.
stir smooth
cover angel food cake and fit the hole with the mixture also
cover with toasted coconut and toasted almonds
keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
