2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp shortening
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups maple syrup

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk; stir just until moistened. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter. Pour syrup into a 11" x 7" x 2 " baking dish. Place biscuits on top of syrup. Bake at 450º for 12-15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
