1 graham cracker pie shell
1 can Comstock Cherry Pie Filling
1/2 t almond extract

1 8-ounce cream cheese, softened
2 t vanilla
1 c sugar

1/2 pt. whipping cream (or Cool Whip)



Directions:
Directions:
Beat together cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar.

Beat 1/2 pint whipping cream or Cool Whip in separate bowl
Fold whipped cream into cheese mixture

Add 1/2 t almond extract into can of cherries

Pour cheese/whipped cream mixture into graham cracker pie shell
Pour cherries on top
Refrigerate

This was a dessert my children, Steve and Diane, loved to have when we visited Granddad and Grandma (Charlie and Alice Doll).
Steve and Diane would enter the front door, greet their grandparents, and then run to the refrigerator in the basement to make sure the cherry pie was there for dessert that evening!
