Ingredients:  
3/4 c large pearl tapioca
4 c scalded milk
2 eggs (separated)
1/2 c sugar
1/4 t salt
1 T vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
soak tapioca overnight
drain
stir into scalded milk in top of double boiler
cook for 1 hour
stir frequently
remove from heat
beat egg yolks slightly
add a little tapioca while stirring
beat egg whites until foamy
add remaining 1/4 c sugar
beat until stiff
gradually add hot tapioca to beaten egg whites
stirring constantly
add vanilla
cool
stir after 15 minutes
chill
