1 pound lean ground beef (or turkey)
1/2 pound bacon
1 medium onion
1 31 oz. can pork & beans
1 15 oz. can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 15 oz. can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 15 oz. can butter beans, drained and rinsed
1 1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)

Directions:

Chop onion fairly fine. Add onion and meat in pan. Brown and drain.
Cut bacon into 1/2" pieces and cook-but leave slightly undercooked.
Add all ingredients in slow cooker and stir to combine.
Cook on LOW 6-9 hours.

You can make vegetarian by leaving out the meat and swapping out the pork & beans with an equal amount of other beans.
