1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
3 c. uncooked oats
2 c. chopped dates
2 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars; beat eggs and vanilla. Mix together, then add flour. Mix. Add oats. Mix thoroughly. Add dates and pecans. The mixture will be dry. Form into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350º for 8 - 10 minutes.
