2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. quick oats
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts or raisins (optional)
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Bring the first four ingredients to a boil. Boil exactly 1 1/2 minutes; remove from heat and immediately mix in the other ingredients.

Drop by tsp. on wax paper to cool.

These cookies have been an "all-time" family favorite. The secret to a creamy cookie is timing! Even now, years after Nannie went to be with the Lord, the smell and taste of these cookies takes her children back to her kitchen...and a welcome-home at the end of a school day!
