1 cup butter
1 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
4 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 tablespoon vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Add butter, oil, and sugars to mixer bowl.
2. Mix.
3. Add eggs and mix until well blended.
4. Combine soada, cream of tartar, and flour and use mixer to blend into dough.
5. Add vanilla and salt.
6. Chill dough.
7. Shape into small balls.
8. Flatten with glass dipped in sugar, or with fork dippe in sugar.
9. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until light tan.
