1 cup butter/margerine
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 2/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon cream of tarter
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Beat in eggs one at a time.
3. Sift last four ingredients together and add to creamed mix.
4. Chill for 1 to 2 hours.
5. Form into balls.
6. Roll each ball in sugar and place on greased cookie sheet.
7. Sprinkle with 2 to 3 drops of water.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes until lightly browned.
9. Remove from sheet immediately and cool.
