Pasta: macaroni of any type (not spaghetti), half the bag.
Small amount of whole milk, a quarter cup or so.
Can of condensed mushroom soup
Velvetta cheese (regular or spicy, your choice)
Cheddar cheese, Muenster cheese, or other of your choice
Butter
Large Packet or can of tuna, 5 oz.
Freshly ground pepper

Boil half a bag of macaroni as per directions on bag or box, about 10-12 minutes. Drain in colander and allow to rest. In same pot, add half a stick of butter, small amount of milk, condensed mushroom soup and as much Velvetta as you like. Add freshly ground pepper and mix well. Add tuna to this mixture and break up chunks of tuna and stir to mix.

Return macaroni to pot. Stir well. Serve immediately.

In order to make plain macaroni and cheese, do not add mushroom soup or tuna packets. Use any kind of cheese, including cheddar, Monterrey Jack, muenster, jalapeno. Some people also like to add canned or frozen peas.

You may also put this mixture into oven-proof pan, top with grated cheddar or other cheese and bake in the oven until top is browned.
